TOKYO, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-112 yen zone early Thursday in Tokyo.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 112.60-61 yen compared with 112.46-56 yen in New York at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The euro fetched 1.2011-2011 dollars and 135.26-27 yen against 1.2010-2020 dollars and 135.10-20 yen in New York late Wednesday afternoon.
Japanese financial markets were closed from Monday to Wednesday due to New Year holiday.
